Stan’s Garden Center has grown its flagship production facility over more than three decades, evolving into a complex, high-volume operation that produces hundreds of thousands of plants each year. As with most long-established growing facilities, continuous maintenance, repair, and improvement are essential to our success.

We are seeking a mechanically skilled and self-motivated Facilities Maintenance Lead to oversee the upkeep, repair, and ongoing improvement of our primary location at 5001 Buffalo Road, Erie, PA 16510.

This is a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days—or even hours—are the same. From routine maintenance to unexpected repairs, this position offers constant variety and the satisfaction of solving real-world problems in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day maintenance and repair of greenhouse and garden center facilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, structural, and equipment issues as they arise
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure efficient, safe operations
• Support facility upgrades and improvement projects over time

Desired Skills & Experience

Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

• Plumbing
• Electrical systems
• Automotive repair
• Minor construction and carpentry
• Operation and maintenance of medium-sized equipment
• General mechanical troubleshooting and repair

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, year-round position
• Extended hours, weekends, and overtime required during peak spring season
• More flexible scheduling during off-peak months
• Active, hands-on work in a production growing environment
